Broan - Glacier 30" Convertible Range Hood - Stainless steel

Install not so hard, but does require 2 people, even with the brackets. Would have been great if the bulbs were included, ridiculous that they aren't. Now I have to figure out which ones to go out and get. Otherwise quiet.

This range hood produces no suction, it looks nice, but does not do its job at all. I installed it, but have nothing but disappointment with that product. The range has a huge fan, which is supposed to produce plenty of suction, but the problem is that the duct opening for the air to go out is rather small and is shifted away from the center of the fan. As a result, most of the air moved by the fan just "hits a wall", and only a small portion of it goes out to the duct (and just in case there is a question about that - the backflow damper is moving freely and is not at fault).

I bought this to use as a ventless operation. Installed per instructions and included the charcoal grease filters. First use when frying up some steak for a beef stew had most all of the grease/smoke going up through the light sockets instead of where the mesh and charcoal filter are located. I assume there are no filters over the light sockets to sort of makes it a waste.

The guide rails were a good idea but confusing and wouldn't work in my kitchen. After 45 minutes of trying to figure the instructions out I hired an installer who didn't use them. Installed it looks great but, unfortunately, the light bulb sockets are of poorest quality. The left light was difficult to install and the right went in easily but does not work. After all that work the unit is going back.
