bought this fan to replace a 20yr old fan. fan vent was making a lot of noise. heater got a burning smell. replacement went ok. works great.

I had two of these Nutone 9093 Heater/Fan/Light/Nightlight units installed back in 1995. They both have been used often and they have proven themselves to be reliable. My 1995 units both have two flaws in my opinion. The wall switches that came with the Nutone 9093 units failed and needed to be replaced after 15 years. The other flaw is that the thermo limiter sensor has burned out on both units after about 20 years of service. Fortunately the replacement parts were readily available, and the units are very easy to remove (4 screws) and repair. I have been impressed with the motors and heating elements. I had expected them to burn up long ago, but they still work like brand new. One installation note: These units did require their own dedicated 15 amp circuit. So unless you are able to run a new dedicated line to your ceiling these 9093 units might not be ideal as a replacement for say an existing exhaust fan unit. I replaced my light bulbs with LED bulbs so the cover should not have to come off again for many more years.

I am replacing a 16 year old version of this unit and it still works great but we are remodeling our bathroom so we wanted to start fresh. I'm keeping the older unit for a backup in our other bathroom. We looked at several other fans but this one stood out well above the others. Keep putting out a great product!!
