Brother CM100DM Electronic Cutting System

My scan n cuts are working overtime because they are perfect for cutting intricate patterns in one-inch sizes for my art pieces. I love these guys! My Cricut now sits in the closet with all my cartridges since I bought my first scan n cut. The Cricut is fine for big pieces but destroys little pieces.

I'm a little weary of many machines that make you buy so many additions and cartridges and expensive mats. The Scan n' Cut is usable out of the box with many functions. I love the ease of use and love the fun Svgs included.

Have had my Brother scanNcut for over 2 years, and have not learned exactly how to utilize all that it can do. Just recently did a free upgrade to 1.80. I would really like a simple tutorial showing each step in plain language.

I was super excited to get this machine. I felt like a kid at Christmas waiting for the UPS guy to stop at my house! I went through the directions and was super confused. I wanted to use this to cut out cute patterns for quilting but I have ruined more fabric and wasted more supplies than I anticipated. I have wanted to return it many times. I have a hard time finding stores locally that supply the accessories and have to order online all the time. I keep trying to figure it out because I like the concept of this machine. I am not giving up yet but it's not as easy as it looks!

I have a lot of cutting machines by far this has been the most fun and the most pleasant it is very user friendly there are a lot of you tube videos to watch to help you also be sure to go watch a few and get some ideas i am still using the very same mat i got i have been using the baby wipes like they say and it works the only thing that made me very unhappy was to use the rhinestone feature in the canvas software I have to spend almost another 100 bucks for the kit to activate it.. I can use my other cutters for that so I will not be buying the kit..Check around there are a lot of people giving out free FCM files too.. LOTS OF FUN!!! I LOVE IT!!
