Brother CM350 ScanNCut 2 Electronic Cutting Machine

I bought this machine based off months of research on many different machines. I made many different calls to Brother and had numerous online chat sessions with them to ask questions and make sure I had all my information before making my purchase. I bought this machine for personal use to use mainly for vinyl cutting. I asked about making individual purchases of fonts and images, how uploading my own pictures worked, about Bluetooth connectivity. I was told that it had bluetooth connectivity included which it is not, I was told you could make purchases of individual fonts which I later found out you can only do that after you purchase a $100 access card which will then allow you to purchase more fonts at additional cost.. everything I had checked on prior to purchase was a lie. When I tried to call them on it they told me I must have mis understood and because I couldn't prove it I was essentially hooped. They then tried to tell me because I opened the box I couldn't return it. After some arguing they did eventually accept the return however I am still waiting for the refund to be back to my card. Moral of the story, take notes of who you spoke to, the date and the time because if you can't prove it they essentially call you a liar.

I make and sell stickers, and cutting them out has always left my hands sore and red!! This machine cuts out hundreds in minutes with precision. The only thing was that I wish you could set what exact measurement you want to enlarge the border size, but the preset measurements still works great. 10/10!

This is a great machine for doing custom projects. You can create practically anything with this machine! I use mines mostly for bow and embellishment making. The only problem I have with this product is that the replacement mats do not last very long especially if you are using felt, and they are $20 and up for just 1 depending where you order it from. If you are cutting felt, I recommend you order the deep cut blade, also when ordering this specific blade you will need to order a deep blade cartridge also. If you are not familiar with using this type of machine, my best advice when cutting is to always start with a low setting to test whatever you are cutting to make sure you are not cutting too deep, which will cut the mat. Always remember to check your blade settings because it can be easy to forget if you are cutting paper then switching to fabric and this will cause you to cut through your mat also. The booklet that comes with the machine gives you recommended blade settings, but they are somewhat inaccurate and can vary much differently as time goes on and your blade becomes not as sharp. Sometimes on the screen, the lines on a images you scan to the machine may look uneven but it is just a glitch and will come out straight once you start cutting. The other downside to this machine is that no stores carry replacement parts for the machine. All accesories and replacements have to be ordered online. So, I recommend having one or two extras of blades, mats, and fabric stabilizing paper especially if you are using this for business purposes. Having to wait on materials can set you back in projects.

The Brother Scan N Cut 2 is a must if you are a crafty girl! if you like personalize almost everything around you, you can make scrapbooks, beautiful frames for your pictures, this is my mainly use, i have 2 babies so i like to decor her room with this, i also like to personalized cards, and even more for this holidays!. one thing i really liked but i havent had the chance to do it yet is to cut doll patterns, i am planning to make my baby girls some dolls, i am a crafty mommy and it think something you put you imagination and creativity, effort, love and time is even more valuable than something you can buy. Right now i have been designing some card, the easy ones, but i plan to explore, this machine has lots of designs already and also you can upload more. i do love it and i would definitive recommend to anyone else who likes crafting, it is a great addition to your tools. i am very happy with it.

I am new and just getting started in the world of crafts, but the Brother ScanNCut2 Home and Hobby Cutting Machine seems quite remarkable and very versatile. It allows you to scan most anything you want including handmade drawing, personal family photos, personal designs and many other things. You can then create custom-cut shapes for whatever project you want – limited only by your desires and creativity. It has a built-in scanner and can be run independently or attached via wire or wirelessly to your PC. It also comes with over 600 built-in designs that are great anytime but especially helpful when you are first starting out. You can cut out images to create an etching effect on glassware, window decals, iron-on appliques, die cut paper images, and much more. It is also wonderful that there are numerous YouTube videos to illustrate how to use the machine as well as broaden your creativity horizon. The blade can be adjusted to cut deeper depending on the thickness of the fabric or other material you're cutting your design into. I am pleased so far and would recommend the machine. Given the price, not high for what it is, I would not in general recommend it for a novice like myself. But I'm looking forward to continuing to learn and find exciting new uses for the cutting machine! But for anyone with experience using this type of cutting machine in the past, this is moving up to the top tier. Whether you just enjoy crafting for yourself or love to create things for your family and friends, this cutter is a great product.
