Brother Intern Brother 50-stitch Computrizd Sew Machine

I've been using this machine regularly for 5 years now and overall have been very pleased with my purchase. To respond to the previous reviewer who had problems with the tension: I've run into similar problems and have learned that this machine can be very sensitive to dust and lint. Be sure to completely clean this machine regularly (take out the whole bobbin assembly and clean it out using the included lint brush. Lint builds up in there fairly quickly. Using a penny to remove the screws works much better than the included screwdriver. After cleaning it out, any tension problems I've had have disappeared. I mostly sew costumes for a larp group and work with a lot of linen. The machine has had no problem working with 2-5 layers of ~6oz linen and I really couldn't ask for more. You're not buying a high end machine here by any means, but it is definitely worth what you would pay for this entry level machine.

I have been sewing for a very long time now so I know my way around a sewing machine. At first everything worked fine then all of a sudden the tension went crazy and no matter what I do I can't fix it.

I have been using sewing machines to sew with since I was 13 years old, and this machine makes home sewing projects a breeze. I replaced my old 45 year old Singer machine with this and it was easy to learn to use. My old machine couldn't do MANY of the things this one does! Because this machine does overcasting like a manufactred piece of apparel, there are no worries about the article shredding in the wash! And, putting in button holes and buttons are a snap! I've been sewing much, much more since I bought this machine and it was well worth the money! Any one who sews with at least an intermediate level will find this machine to be a blessing!

I recieved this machine for Christmas and have NEVER sewn before. In the first 3 days I have made a baby doll blanket, a table cloth, a childs purse, and am now working on 2 aprons! I have no crafting ability whatsoever and I am completing things so quickly! Such an easy machine to use! I have little patience for stressful things and this has given me nothing but smiles! I LOVE IT!!

I have never ever sewed a thing in my life, much less even used a sewing machine. I had a project idea and knew that it required a sewing machine and was dreading how complicated using one would be. I was at Walmart, saw this one and bought it on a whim solely on price and figured the "computerized" one would be easier to use. I brought it home and read the instructions about 10 times and watched a few videos on threading a sewing machine, I figured it out! This machine is the bomb. As a beginner, I would definitely recommend the Brother. I couldn't imaging doing all of those stitches and button hole stitches manually like this one does automatically. A good buy!
