I love almost everything about this printer- I was concerned about the print quality, but I discovered you can adjust the quality in the features, documents print crisp and clear. I use this printer for my home and small business needs and it is user friendly and easy to navigate the features, The only thing I would change is the inability to scan and print 2-sided from the top of the printer.
Really like the ink capacity and the multiple paper paths. I'm able to print labels from the rear feed (one of my must haves), BUT the weight limit on heavy papers through the rear feed means I can't print the inside of my photo greeting cards.
Constantly giving me trouble - paper jams, pulling in 5 pieces of paper at once, constantly needed to be shut off and turned back on to connect to the wireless signal. Overall, very poor quality.
First, I am an experienced user of computers, printers and electronic conveniences. Having has multiple printers and continually seeing the cost of printers going down, but the ink going up. I have a small home office and this printer is very satisfactory. I've had it with the major brands as Epson, HP, Lexmark and others. Having nurses several printers with DIY refills, none were without hassles. I purchased this printer and find it easy to connect with wifi, loading the ink and printing. The document feeder works well, it scans, prints and faxes. The fax I do not use this feature. Print performance is very good, clarity and type density if very good. Color printing and black are crystal sharp. I've had this printer for several weeks and have had no problem at all. No misfeeds, jams or disconnects from wifi. Note I use this only with wifi, but the connection by wire is assumed to be equally reliable, I print from my laps top, IPhone and Android pad without issues. I would recommend that before you add the printer drivers, that you purge your computers of all past printer drivers to avoid any snafus. Installation of the software is each, just follow the instructions. Ink is value based with best value . Brother offers a great printer without the high cost of purchase or ownership. Tom
The printer has a lot of quirky thing about it. The Automatic Document Feed is very fussy, doesn't always work well. The print quality (graphics) are not as good as other HP Printers I have owned. The individual paper feed jams often.
