Burts Bees Burts Bees Naturally Nourishing Milk & Shea Butter Body Bar, 4 oz

I started using Burt's Milk & Shea Butter soap 2 years ago and it's the only soap I'll be using for the next 2 years. I tried many soaps over the years and found Burt's to be the best on the market.

I love this soap! It makes my skin so soft and it doesn't give you that oily waxy feeling some of the products do. The only disadvantage is (not a huge one) that this product contains fragrance. This is why it says the soap is only 99% natural. I've learned fragrance isn't good for you, but I love this soap so much one small thing won't bother me.

I love this bar of soap. I don't think I have used bar soap since I was a child!!! I tried the body wash of this and was very disappointed. The bw didn't lather at all and it never made me feel clean. This bar does!! I have also used this soap for shaving. It works wonderful!! After a shower my skin feels so soft and my legs don't get irritated from shaving anymore. I still use lotion after every shower (BB New & Improved Milk and Honey Body Lotion), but once when I was in a rush I jumped out of the shower and skipped the lotion. I couldn't believe how soft my skin still felt!! My husband gets heat bumps very bad because of his working conditions. Nothing has helped them except this soap. Once he started using it, his skin has cleared up wonderfully!!

My skin tends to get very dry and this soap gives my skin just the right amout of moisturer without feeling greasy. I get less breakouts on my shoulders after using this as well. I have very sensitive skin and most chemicals irritate my skin so it's great to find products with as few chemicals as possible in them. This product also smells really good it's light and creamy smelling just the way you expect it to smell.

I bought this soap just to try it out and although it's definitely gentle enough for my sensitive skin, I don't notice much difference (good or bad). The smell is OK- nothing great and it doesn't make me go "mmm" like some soaps when I use it. I'd use it again if it were available, but I'm not sure I'd buy it again. In short- gentle and safe (so if your current soap irritates your skin, by all means, by this), but nothing to write home about.
