Burt's Bees Lipglos.

I really should have read the ingredients, but I figured Burt's Bees would be eco-friendly enough and at least moisturizing for what I needed when I bought the product. Sadly, I was unimpressed. I purchased Sheer Lemon + Juicy Peach. The price is really cheap --- but so was the product. This product contains SILICA... which is uncomfortable in a lip product. Silica is basically sand when it comes down to things organically --- and it's so apparent when you put it on that the formula is overwhelmingly grainy. *Awful* Secondly, CARMINE? This was stupid on my part, but I thought Burt's Bees would actually not pack their product with carmine (which is crushed up bugs). Sorry, this is really a gross color-additive which is not only expensive for them to buy, but a thing of the past... there are many alternatives to use which don't involve crushing up insects for color. *Gross* Probably the least effective lip product I've purchased.

I love all 4 colors in this lip gloss set because they are all very wearable. I think my personal favorite is the berry color, but they all look nice. They moisturize lips and add a little color and shine. They also taste good and aren't too sticky. The reason I only gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because they have to be re-applied often.

I got this for a special treat at Christmas, since it's pretty expensive for some lip gloss. I thought it would be great, since I like most Burt's Bees products. The taste was nice, but in terms of moisturizing - forget it. It fees like it's completely gone within about 20 minutes. Not long lasting in the slightest. It was a waste of money.

I first recieved two of these lipglosses from the deluxe grab bag from this site. I recieved zesty red and pucker berry. I was worried that the pucker berry would be too brown and the zesty red would be too red and bright. I was pleasantly surprised. They both had great muted colors that were perfect for my purposes. The zesty red is a subtle burst of dark pink, while the pucker berry looks like a more natural brownish mauve. They both have great scents and tastes while also being natural for my constantly chapped lips. These idealistic glosses are perfect for everyday use and include amazing moisturizing qualities and a glossy sheen that every woman would love

This gloss looks good when it is first applied, but it wears off VERY EASILY! It's frustrating. I usually love Burt's Bees products, especially their natural approach, but I feel like I wasted my money with this product & I will not be repurchasing this one.
