I purchased this because I couldn't find the Res Q Ointment recently and thought this might be the replacement. Not nearly as good. It is a hard stick and certainly nothing I want to be rubbing on an irritated mosquito bite. Opt for the Res Q Ointment instead if you can find it. Works every bit as good and is soft and creamy to put on.

I had high hopes for this product. I'm constantly trying to find an effective anti-itch product for bug bites. Bugs seems to be attracted to me, even if I'm covered in bug spray. This product does slightly soothe the itch, but not for long. I find myself scratching away less than an hour later. I feel like it needs some sort of cooling ingredient, maybe peppermint oil or something more like the muscle mend product. I feel like that would help soothe the itch longer.

I usually use the Afterbite pen, which is full of amonia and requires yo to break the skin before it will work (well, it doesn't say that but it does work best that way). This smells nice, is safe to use and works pretty well without breaking the skin. I love the fragrance but the only drawback is that it just doesn't seem to work well enough to keep me from digging at these rabid mosquito bites. UGH. But I still love it and would buy it again. Perhaps with some bug spray as well this time!

While more artificial bite relief cremes might do the trick a little faster, the Burt's Bees bite relief is surprisingly affective. I find that most bite relief cremes/sprays/lotions tend to try out my skin, and I like that this product relieves the itching but also feels like a moisturizer.

I work in the yard and do my best to prevent any possible bug issues. However, I noticed that I had a spot on my leg that did not heal after a few days and still looked red and irritated. I got out my new stick of Bug Relief and applied it before I went to sleep. The next morning the spot was almost completely healed - Hurray for Bug Bite Relief ! Thanks!
