This is a horrible-tasting product. Too salty and the seasoning used had a very odd taste. I definitely will not purchase or recommend this product to anyone. If I could I would give it a zero rating. Very disappointed with Butterball. Expensive bad experience.
This turkey breast was terrible the seasoning was not good on it and I cooked it according to the directions. It was dry. I should not have to pay for this type of product. Needless to say the Thanksgiving meal was not what I had planned because of it.
Very disappointed in this product. I followed the directions, and put the turkey breast ( inside the inner bag ) on a rack inside my roasting pan. I put it in the oven set at 375, set the timer for 2 hours and let it cook. Within an hour, I could smell that great turkey aroma. When it got to the 1:45 mark, that aroma was replaced with the smell of burning food! not good! I yanked the pan out of the oven and discovered the source of the smell. The bag it was in had leaked into the pan, and I had a big black burnt puddle under the rack in my best pan. To make things worse, the turkey was only 150 degrees inside. I was forced to cook it another 30 minutes before it was done. When it finally read 170 inside, my roasting pan was ruined. it smelled so bad, and was smoking so bad that I took straight out of the house, and after it cooled down threw it in the trash. I removed the turkey breast from the bag, and actually it looked pretty good. After it cooled a little, I cut a piece off and tried it. Apparently, someone at butterball thinks everyone loves garlic. I could have killed a thousand vampires by just breathing on them! The garlic was so strong you could barely taste the turkey. The only thing the garlic basting juice was good for, was to ruin your pan and test your smoke alarm. I trimmed off all of the outer part of the turkey, just served the inner meat. It was OK, but kinda dry compared to the butterball frozen turkey roasts, which I think are really good products. It was just my bad luck my store was out of them when got this lousy product. You live and learn!
Best Turkey ever , so easy to cook , we love Turkey and eat this one once week. Our favorite meal. Thanks butterball for great product thst you put in oven in bag frozen and cook. Great roasted seasoning always moist and tender. Love walking in the house and smelling it cooking.
Got this because Walmart didn't have the Jenny-O version that we normally buy and love. Noticed when it was cooking that it smelled different...I was hoping it would be similar in flavor to the Jennie-O oven ready turkey we've gotten in the past but he flavoring on this is terrible!! I'm not sure what the seasoning is, maybe sage or thyme, but it is overwhelming! It does not smell good or taste good. I was really bummed as this was supposed to be Thanksgiving in July type of meal and it was anything but. Pass on this one and find Jenny-O if you can. The gravy was also gross. It was kind of gelatinous and had little depth just a lot of salt. I will not purchase again. Very disappointed. Expected more from Butterball.
