Cabbage Patch Kids I Can Play Guitar System

As a music educator and arts lover, I like any product that fuels enthusiasm for learning the arts. As a mother, I was ecstatic to find a guitar that my 5 year-old daughter would enjoy since she had been asking for a guitar for a long time. This was a good buy. She loves to improvise, her 8 year old brother loves plucking out his favorite TV theme songs and other songs, and we all love playing along with the TV. The Barbie software was great from my daughter's opinion, although I got tired of Barbie saying, "Oops, let try that again" and starting from the beginning after a single mistake. Overall, we all love it. I really think the strings themselves are too loud and hard to play (USE THE PICKS or your thumb will make you pay). Great product without the Hannah Montana price.

My son is 4 years old he loves this guitar. The only problem I have with it is the power cord has a short in it. We opened the box plugged it into the tv and returned it to the store. We ordered one from offline and we have the same problem just not as distorted. I would of not kept it had my son not cried to keep it.

I purchased the "I Can Play Guitar" for my son (7) for Christmas. We considered other products including Guitar Hero but decided on this product because it more accurrately emulates playing a guitar and my son really wants to play guitar. This seems to be (so far) a very easy and fun way to pickup some of the basics of playing a guitar before jumping into lessons.

My Grandson is 6 years old and loved this gift more than anything given to him this year. Once his father setup the TV connections he was playing. We didn't have to prompt him to try or work with him on the format. He just took off, he says he is playing jazz for his nanna:)

We got this for my 7 year old for christmas. He LOVES it. I tried it too and I enjoyed it...although it is a little difficult to keep up with the different cords when you first start playing it...but with practice I'm sure it will get easier. He has a blast playing with it both plugged into the TV and when walking around the house. It's sturdy design even makes it a fun toy for our three year old to play with. Much better product than I originally expected it to be!
