Just what I wanted. I needed the larger qty so I didn't have to go to the store so much.
So far it's working better than Claratin as I'm not sneezing as often.
I have used this exact generic for years, purchasing it as a prescription. For those who are worried about the looming expiration date, I have used this medication both from a new bottle and another that was hidden in the back of the pantry and was 18 months past expiration and there was no discernable difference in the effectiveness between the two. My research shows it to be still effective up to 2 years after expiration. So if you take it daily, bought 90 pills in March, and the expiration is in July, it should be perfectly fine as long as it is kept in a cool, (not cold) dry place. So folks, do as you like, but I wouldn't worry even a little about the Xyzal generic being out of date by even a year or more. The industry standard is to discard all medicines after a year, but most pills are fine up to 3 years after the manufacture date. Part of the one year expiration is to take in poor storage habits into consideration. Clearly, excessive heat, cold, and moisture will degrade most medications. The other reason the industry to err on the side of caution has to do with their bottom line sales. With a allergy medication taken 365 days a year by many, the manufacturer still wants you to fill your prescriptions even if you have big bottle left in cupboard or shaving cabinet. it has more to do with corporate quarter and yearly sales and much less out of concern for the customer. So make your decisions accordingly and I will not be offended by anyone who disagrees. Best of luck on the upcoming fall ragweed season and be sure to have these pills and an emergency 12 hour nasal micro-mist handy just in case.
This is the same thing my Dr prescribes. With insurance I pay 34.00 for 90 tablets. Here I pay half for only 10 pills less.
Good but will be expiring in 2 months
