Camp Chef Big Gas Grill 16 Outdoor Stove with BBQ Box Accessory, SPG90B, 90,000 BTU Propane

We are about to buy our third Big Gas Grill. The first was acquired probably 20-25 years ago. The good part first: What a great cooking appliance. We have the Burger Box, Pizza Oven and flat top in addition to basic stove and all perform very well We added a second fold out shelf to the left side of the stove (borrowed from previous stove) and find it to be very handy. In addition, we (ok- my wife) crafted a custom cover to allow the red shelves to remain extended while under cover. Every winter we use this unit for three straight months in a north Florida campground. We have hosted pizza parties for up to 40 people with no problem due to the performance of these products. The only complaint we have about the Big Gas Grill is lifespan. As mentioned we are about to buy our third one, Excessive rust (from the cooking grate down) and wear and tear from use on the stove and particularly the burger box are evident after 3-4 years and you'll probably be looking at replacement after 6-7 years. (Compare this to my near perfect Weber gas grill from 1998). Improvement suggestions would include the addition of a second red shelf, a stainless option on the burger box that always fails at the welds on the underside, an improved larger cover to permit the stove to stay in the open shelf position, So will I buy another one - definately. The advantages and performance outweigh the drawbacks. Would I consider a higher priced unit that addresses the lifespan weaknesses? NO DOUBT!!!

Best grill option I have ever used. The heat from each burner is like a commercial kitchen level and the design looks to last a long time. Used the grill box to cook a small 7 lb turkey and cooked at 425 and then down to 350 for a perfect cooking level. I also added the one-burner griddle plate and is awesome for cooking almost anything. Very happy with this purchase.

Great product, bought because a friend has had one for 8 yrs. with no problems. High heat output even on low and you can break it down, put it in the bag(which I also purchased) and store it in under 10 minutes. Set up even less time.

Bought cooker, bbq box, and the big griddle, this cooker ain't no pooch. I suggest purchasing the carrier with wheels and the other griddle bag also, for ease of handling and clean equipment. Took this cooker to a rally this weekend, cooked breakfast for 12, 9 steaks that night. Sets up with ease, clean up no problem. Fish fry next weekend. This is the best setup I've had

Delivered fast and well packed but my unit arrived with a missing bolt and nut for the folding cover shelf. I turned it on and ran it for 5 minute to burn off the packing oil and then wiped down the BBQ box inside and out with plain paper towel. ALL the paint on the badging plate with camp chef on it melted and came off on the paper towel. Next, I cooked on it for the first time and the ignitor broke off. The shaft broke. Its plastic and so is the knob. I noticed others have had the same problem. The big problem is its not easy to light with the BBQ box in place. Great burners though!
