We bought this spa and for the first few months everything was great, made it through a bc winter just fine (we did keep it under a covered deck and out of the weather) about 10 months later our heater unit died. The company sent a new one and less than 6 months later that one goes too. Their offer?! Pay to ship it back to them just for them to look at it and charge us more after that to fix it or pay for a new heater. Will never buy anything from this company again, I suggest everyone avoid this spa!!
Like the previous poster....We bought six months ago. Was great in the cold BC winter weather....Kept heat very well...Didn't notice a huge spike in hydro bill....However...Motor seized after only six months
This hot tub was great... for about 6 months, and thats when it died completely. But until then we really enjoyed it - despite a few flaws. Its pretty inexpensive to run, unless you're keeping it outside in the winter - once October hit, our electric bill jumped up over $300 extra per month, because its not insulated so it takes alot of energy to keep the tub heated. So we moved it inside, which was great, but The filters are poorly designed, they say you can change them without emptying the tub, but if you're keeping it inside, you can't because it leaks pretty bad during the changing process, so we would have to empty it first. Then out of the blue the motor & computer broke. So i would definitely recommend an inflatable hot tub, it was comfortable, convenient, and incredibly relaxing, I would just suggest using a different manufacturer.
We have had our hot tub for a week now and it was easy to set up, one person took about an hour. I made a 1 inch styrofoam liner to go under it though as was worried the insulation provided wasn't going to be enough through winter on our concrete patio. It took about 24 hours to heat up to 37C which was fine as its was still 20C outside temp. It all works very well so far and we are very happy with the purchase. I watched the online video of how to set it up which I think made set up easier, as the instructions were a little lacking. It seems to be holding at 38C fairly well even while we are using it.
Very disappointed. After one season leaking. First – the control unit leaking. Canadian Spa replaced it under warranty. Now the rest of the spa is leaking about 2 inches per day. Have taken the thing totally apart 4 times this summer so far to find where it might be leaking – no luck – tightened all fittings, siliconed, check everything – still leaking from somewhere. Canadian Spa only offered to sell me another one – no thanks. From my experience this is not a good product – too may inferior quality materials that can and will fail and leak. Don’t buy it, waste of money. Steve
