I recently received my master’s degree and had a family get together where we took several dozen pictures. The pictures were clear and had great color and contrast. The zoom on this camera is awesome! I am VERY pleased with camera!
This is a nice little camera that takes excellent photos. I didn't feel like the icons on the camera were that self explanatory, so you definitely need to use the product manual to learn how to take pictures. It has a 40X zoon lens which is great for taking enlarged pictures. The camera does not come with a memory disk so I had to purchase that separately. One of my favorite features is that you can send pictures to your computer, upload to the Internet (by creating a Canon account), or by sending it to your phone, so you can easily create backups of your favorite pictures. I think this camera is a good value for the price.
This is a great little camera. It's easy to use, lightweight, and has nice features. Out of the box I did charge the battery so I could begin use. The battery and charger are included. Unfortunately it does not include an SD card. I had to go out and buy one before I could use my camera. Once I got an SD card I was set. I took it on a trip to visit my grandchildren. I took pictures inside and outside. If lighting was too low indoors the camera let me know to pop up the flash. I even let two of my grandchildren use it a little bit and it was great. It was easy enough for them to not only take pictures but to take videos too. They are ages 8 and 6. They were able to figure out how to operate the zoom feature right away after brief instruction from me. This camera has great zoom capabilities. I used it to get close up pictures of deer that I would not have been able to take otherwise. One of the coolest features of this camera is that it has wifi capabilities built in. You can share pictures to your cell phone, tablet, desktop, or laptop as long as they have wifi capabilities also. I am one of the least technology savvy people around and I found it super easy to follow the camera guide book and set up the ability to share my photos between devices. I definitely would recommend this camera. Whether you are six or sixty (or older) it's a great little camera.
I don't really know where to start. First, when I got this camera I thought it was just another digital camera, just smaller and a better zoom and a 20 Mpixel resolution. Was I wrong. This camera has all the features you can ask for, plus some. First, the optic in this camera is better than anything I have had before. The zoom goes from 24mm (35mm equivalent) to 1,004mm. That' about the range I was dreaming about in my past. Yes, I had a 24mm lens but I never held a 1,000mm teleobjective lens in my hand. To make things even better you can add another 4x digital zoom. I don't think I ever will need a 4,000mm lens. That, I can only imagine to use during astronomical (star) observations. I haven't tried it but I might be able to observe the rings of Saturn, I don't know. I'm sure I will need a tripod for that, though. I don't think I have mention that you have cropping and all the other features, typical for a digital camera. You can shoot videos with this camera as well. I think all modern, digital cameras have this possibility. What I didn't expect is that you can edit your videos directly with the camera when you are finish shooting. That's a nice feature. OK, so what else? The camera has built in wifi. You can connect your camera directly to a smart phone. From there you can, once connected, control the camera. You can zoom, take pictures, transfer picture from the camera to the phone, etc. You can even transfer picture from your phone to the camera. I don't understand when I will have use for sending a picture from my phone to my camera, though you never know. I don't know the limitations of this wifi possibility but the manual is full of descriptions of all the possibilities. You can also connect your camera to your computer for similar features. The only thing I noticed and didn't like was that the camera showed a sensitivity to strong light sources. If there is, for example, a naked light bulb or any other strong light in the picture, it tend to leave a vertical line across the screen. It's a minor thing and you can probably avoid the situation most of the times. I also found the capacity of the battery to be a little low. I ran out of battery a few times. You therefore have to remember to charge the battery each time you plan to use the camera for some larger events. The battery will not last forever. I noticed the price of the camera and I believe you can't get anything better for the money. I got hooked on it and will probably buy one for my son as well. He is in to photography and should appreciate it even if he has several, more professional cameras. This is a good purchase.
I love point and shoot cameras and the is the fourth brand I have owned. It has the greatest digital zoom. I took a picture of the neighbors porch on the next block. Then I zoomed in on the flowers in a planter. Incredible. I didn't lose any clarity at all. I circled the flowers so you could find them in the first photo. Pro--the camera is easy to hold in one hand, the flash flips up more easily than most cameras and the slide show feature to look at your pictures while still in the camera is great. The video feature is easy to use and kids love to see the videos immediately. The WiFi feature was easy enough to set up but you send through a service, Google-Flickr-Adobe-etc., that you must pay a monthly fee. I don't use the WiFi enough to warrant a fee but if you already have one, it is fine. My last camera, both Best Buy and myself couldn't get the WiFi to work at all. Con--I had to buy a memory card ($20). I also purchased a USB cable ($12) to upload the pictures. It does not come with a case. The lens cap has to be removed and replaced manually. I am used to just plugging the camera into the wall outlet to charge. With this camera, you must remove the battery and charge it separately. I wish I could show you some of the other pictures, especially the clarity of the pictures of a 5 year old. He is a moving target. I do like the camera, especially the zoom. It is fantastic. Click on the pictures to see for yourself.
