The shoe is great! Trying to get the promised discount, not so much.
Only tried one on to realize that I needed a lace up shoe that offers more support. These shoes seem flimsy, provide no arch support and were too wide for my narrow foot.
My old jazz shoes were surprisingly short when I recently took them out of my dance bag. I am at the older age of a dance student and didn't think that would happen again. I love Capezio's because their shoes are comfortable, last, and some come in narrows. My foot is a slim. These oxfords are as close to narrow as I can get when I wear socks and tie the laces tight.
I use these for dance exercise and tai chi where I need both support, comfort and the ability to make easy turns. Soft, glove-like fit that is always commented on. As good-looking as they are comfortable, and practical.
Pretty much grew up in these and now I'll still buy them with my own money. I'm not the first dancer in my family but decades ago my father (not a dancer) would buy these and get them resoled as street shoes because at the time most shoes on the market were way to wide for him. I have inherited his feet and though with medium with I have to cinch the laces in as far as they go this is the most snug yet comfortable fit I can find. Personal preference to be able to tie your shoes differently as they wear and you can always replace laces. I also prefer the single fabric feeling rather than most of the popular slip ons which I find problematic. I'd recommend going in some where to try on and size your first time (if you can) as the width (especially if you aren't sure where you land narrow to wide) of your shoe is controlled by how tight you lace up and if you want a good experience you might not be in the size you expect if you know your preferences.
