Carex Aluminium Wheelchair, Swing Away Footrests, Removable Armrests, Padded Seat, 300 lb Capacity

I ordered the Carex Wheelchair with large 18" padded seat to replace my Roscoe K2 Lite wheelchair, that I had used for years and finally broke. The K2 Lite is no longer available, and the Carex is as close to the same chair as I could find following multiple hours of research. After a couple weeks of use, I am very impressed with the quality and fabrication of the Carex wheelchair. It is very well built and I am very happy with it. The only negative comment I have is the material used for the seat and backrest. It is a canvas covered pad, which is very comfortable. However, the smell when I got it wet was very off-putting in my opinion. After a couple of days of use, I swapped the leather/pleather seat over from my old Roscoe. I would recommend this chair to anyone looking for an affordable, comfortable, and supportive wheelchair.

This wheelchair is very nice--and the price cannot be beaten. It does what I need--it's collapsible, has handles so someone else can comfortably push it and the "feet flappers" are easily removable if one wishes to do that. The quality seems to be fine--I've only used it a few times. However, the price is so good; and if one needs one, it's much easier to buy this than to be evaluated by your physician, an PT or OT and then go through the process of being qualified by Medicare. I don't think this chair would be considered/a good choice for permanent use.
