Very nice looking gate, purchased to keep our old dog out of the living room area when we are not home to supervise him. The only reason I couldn't give it 5 stars is because some of the screws on the locking brackets came stripped. Other than that it is working excellent. We keep it up at night so he can't “roam”, and it is low enough for the kids to walk over, yet high enough to keep old Rusty out.

Actually, this product is better than advertised and anticipated. Out of the box to fill a crazy space (width of 47.5 in) was a breeze. Most surprising and appreciated is how sturdy the stand alone - step over gate is without any additional hardware to secure it to wall.... price is right,,,shipping was before promised...

Prompt service and product arrived in excellent condition. Beautiful gate and my three small dogs are now blocked from entering living room - except by invitation! I had an issue assembling; however, my daughter figured it out immediately. Great for small dogs!

It is very short which is what I wanted for the ease of stepping over--nice--looks like furniture rather than a gate, easy to use. It is only good to keep very small animal or timid at bay, would not stop anything else.

Very nicely finished wood with classic black plastic supports. Never will damage wall or door jambs
