Carnation Breakfast Essentials Light Start Nutritional Drink Mix, Rich Milk Chocolate, 8 Count Box

The product was as expected. However this shipment was a disaster! I purchased 2 boxes (8 pks. each). The two cardboard boxes and product were shipped in a white plastic bag. It appeared that heavy items/boxes had been set on top of my package during shipping. Of 16 packs, 14 were damaged and the product poured out into the plastic shipping bag. This was unsanitary plus I have no idea how much would go into the glass to mix with the milk. This nearly $12 purchase was a total loss. I will be calling Walmart.

an aquired taste. Worst of all the box was crushed so badly that the powder was all over, since a pouch had gotten ripped. Looked like someone drove over this package ten or more times. wasn't going to bother with this review and so didn't take a pic before I cleaned it all.

I have been drinking this for breakfast for 50, yes 50 years, under the name "Carnation Instant Breakfast". The sugar free version is great, low calorie and you can't taste the sweetener. It is just a great breakfast and would be helpful as a weight control drink with low fat milk. I have to order it online now, as Walmart seems to have stopped carrying it in their stores. I fear this may be a precursor to dropping it from their online store. Please don't do that, Walmart! I order 7 boxes at a time, which last 8 weeks; I am paying about 64 cents for breakfast each day. You need to try this if you have any interest at all. The sugar version is richer but I prefer this one to control sugar intake.

This item is awesome. I had Bariatric surgery and it is a great source for protein and low in calories. I hope Walmart never discontinues this product because everyone else has taken off shelves and added the probiotic instead. They don't have another lower calorie option so this is the only choice and it taste great!!

I ordered this for myself to see if I could get an added boost to my day , may have helped if I could have stood the taste. I did not like the taste at all, I ordered chocolate and it tasted just yucky. I tried to add more milk , less milk nothing made it taste any better. I also had to shake it to get the grittiness out , I mean I couldn't just stir and drink this stuff as it was gritty. I thought it was just my taste buds but, my husband tried it and he usually likes anything chocolate and he won't drink it. I would not recommend this to anyone , taste yucky not a rich milk chocolate taste.
