Sun Exposure: full sun Level of Care: average

1992 All-America Winner. This unique round carrot has superior qualities that cannot be matched by other varieties. The roots develop quickly in a variety of soils, even heavy soils, or can be grown in window boxes or patio containers. They may be harvested when 1/2 inch diameter for baby carrots or left to grow to golf ball size. The sweet, tasty, easy to harvest roots need not be peeled, just simply wash before using. Carrots grow best when temperatures are between 40F and 80F degrees. Sow successive crops at three-week intervals for a continuous supply, being mindful of that carrots do not grow well when maximum temperatures average over 88F degrees. In areas where temperatures rarely fall below 25F degrees, begin sowing in late summer. Days to maturity: 60. Seeds per packet: 750-1,200. Seeds per oz.: 15,000-20,000.
