Cascade always gets my dishes clean.

I've read reviews from June 2012 to the present complaining about the awful smell sticking to dishes so why is this still being sold as is??? It is now May 2014 and I logged onto this site to submit a complaint about the same exact issue! I did not realize this product was so old, I thought it was new. I would think in 2 years they would have developed a less stinky alternative to this product. Lavender scent sticks to all of my dishes and when heated up my food tastes like the detergent so I end up wasting perfectly good food. I would never recommend it to even my worst enemy! My dishwasher safe coffee travel mugs continue to smell like this product which ruins the taste of my coffee. I've tried several times to remove the scent but it will not go away.

Even though I like the lavender scent in the dishwasher, the smell and taste does not wash off the dishes. I switched back to the lemon and orange scented pacs.

Overwhelming scent is left on all your dishes. Particular problem with plastics. Even when dry the smell is reactivated when you put liquid in the glassware. Makes all of your dishes unusable. Please save yourself aggravation and stick with the standard Cascade product.
