This solar and battery dual powered calculator has nice large numbers and viewing screen so it's easy to use and read. Great for home, office or school use. The bottom has 4 rubber pads to help keep it stationary while in use. I recommend this product!

I needed a calculator as I was finding it more and more difficult using the calculator on my iPhone without taking it out of its case and was finding it often gave me inaccurate results. I don't use a calculator a lot but I do use it to balance my checkbook monthly and other little tasks I do from time to time. Thus I did not need anything fancy or expensive so this calculator fit my needs nicely. I especially like the large display and the fact that it runs on battery or solar power. It has more functionality than I will probably ever need but others may find of use. If you are in need of a simple calculator at a reasonable price then this may be the calculator for you.

This calculator is a decent, basic desktop calculator. While I wouldn't recommend this one to a friend, I also wouldn't recommend against it. I'm pretty neutral about it. Pros: It's dual powered--solar and battery Auto-off function It's reasonably attractive It has a double zero key (00) The color coded buttons make it easy to find what you need It's very lightweight Cons: Can't turn it off (annoying when using the battery) Errors out with large numbers (instead of using an exponent of ten)--see picture Changing the battery requires a screwdriver No parentheses button(s)--complex calculations require using the memory keys

This desktop calculator is also easy to hold in the palm of your hand while pressing keys. It is a great item to have if your laptop doesn't have a built-in numerical keypad. Its size leaves space for other items on the desktop and you could also slip it into a laptop carrying case. The keys are as easy to use as those on a full-sized keyboard and the large LCD characters are super easy to read. Don't know yet how long the button battery will perform its job, but the solar cell's help may extend the life of the battery. The case has to be opened to change the battery, but it's not too hard, just 2 tiny screws to remove before prying the case open. An external battery access slot would have gotten this device a 5-star review.
