It is very quiet and my cats love it I definitely would recommend it

The pump isn't strong enough to circulate the water properly, the pics are misleading. I had to overfill it to get any water to the top for the cats. When I took it apart to clean it, it was all gummed up with bits of cat food. I feel like this is a health hazard unless you want to take it apart and clean and refill it daily. Side note - the cats liked it ALOT, but I threw it away.

Leaked within the first hour. Power cord design is a failure

This product took me on a very unpleasant journey. 1) Not fully stainless steel. Water is kept underneath the stainless steel top which is plastic. 2) Parts are flimsy. There is a "chimney pipe" connecting the center to the pump below, but this part came apart during the initial cleaning and there are NO instructions for putting it back together. 3) Pump is sensitive. There is a slider on the pump for how strong you want the fountain to be ( -). It can be a strong spout to small ripples. However the surface it is on needs to be sturdy and flat or the pump will be roaring from the slightest bump. Mine may be defective, however. 4) Cats are scared. I've had fountains before and my cat was fine with it but this one, even on the lowest setting, scares them. The instructions state to simply dehydrate your cat until they are forced to drink from it. I chose to keep a stationary water source next to it and in a few weeks, she is drinking from the fountain. 5) Customer service is HORRENDOUS. As mentioned earlier, the chimney pipe came off during cleaning and this causes my fountain to not work to its fullest potential. I contacted customer service of the manufacturer and they told me they would send me the pump and chimney to ensure the problem is fixed. They only sent the pump and when I notified them they demanded both pumps back before the chimney would be sent. I was aghast and DO NOT RECOMMEND this product.

My vet recommended a fountain for my old cats to drink more. They like this best and stainless is easy to clean. I have bought 6. But yes, even if you follow instructions, after about 6 months half of them start to leak. I buy the 87 cent plastic item that goes under houseplants just in case. Returning, even with a warranty, can be a pain depending on who shipped it and how long you've had it. Shipper only replaces for first month, extended warranty doesn't kick in until after a year, you have to go back to manufacturer, so don't waste money on warranty.
