Catit Pixi Smart Fountain

I've had this cat fountain for nearly 3 months and my cats and I LOVE it! I will say that my pump needs to be cleaned WAY WAY more often than advertised (every 1-2 weeks) but all in all I don't suppose that's a *bad* thing. Reading the reviews I did buy a spare pump to keep on hand when the first one died, but every time my pump starts to get feeble I completely pull it apart per the directions, scrub it inside and out, and it's back to working amazingly well afterwards. I don't know if it's our water or the fact that I have two cats using this fountain, but I do find that I need to completely clean everything every week and replace the filter every 2 weeks. By two weeks the filter is visibly gross - yuck! However, my cats really love this fountain and it has noticeably eliminated my cats stubborn chin acne - score! The UV-C light gives me peace of mind that my cats aren't drinking totally gross water, although when I do clean the whole thing once/month everything is just starting to get slimy. My 9 year old is delighted that the fountain will blink when it needs more water and she will top it off when she sees it blinking.

Very expensive and didn't work, I had to clean up every 3 days and change the filter every two weeks bur the filter and water still get p disgusten with lot of bacteria and leaving your pet very sick

The pump electrical design comes apart inside the bowl? Who thought it was a good y? Who thought wouldn't get wet AT ALL?? Well after 5-6 months of use the pump's prongs rusted out. For such a pricey fountain it was designed horrible to make a short life span.

Cleaned fountain as suggested in video and won't pump water only had fountain a few months. Very disappointing for the price of the product cats love it before stop working.

We purchased this very expensive water fountain in April. Hasn't even been a full 6 months. The pump stopped working, one of the prongs that connect the pump to the cord inside the fountain came out and stayed in the permanent cord attached inside the unit. Our girls won't drink out of anything else, so we had to purchase another. Regular scheduled maintenance was done every time it was supposed to be. The pump was completely taken apart as per instructions. I couldn't return or exchange the fountain to PetSmart, because it's a 60 day policy. If the fountain is working properly, I give it 5 star. However, it only gets 2 because it broke less than 6 months of having it.
