Chamberlain Belt Drive Rail Extension Kit for 8' High Garage Doors

I'd be curious to know what % of garages are built with a 7' door vs 8'? Not including the parts needed for a standard 8' door is a poor customer experience and does not leave a positive brand sentiment. This needs to be addressed!

As with every review left here, I am unhappy that the door size was hidden on the box. Whether purposefully or intentionally, it does not matter. There are more then enough complaints about it that it should have been fixed by now.

I have owned several houses over decades and never had a 7' door. I was surprised that what I bought was insufficient. Now I have to pay more, wait for the delivery, go without an opener until it arrives, and be irritated just because they didn't make it clear on the box. It is in small print on the bottom of the side near the warnings about potential lead exposure as required by CA.

I bought a new opener and like everybody else on here I put it together to just to find out I needed an extension. How about a simple label on the box that you will need the extension kit, or better yet make it for a 8 foot door.

Bought a replacement garage door opener, good overall reviews, but in line with all of the other notations. I try to look up if will fit 8 foot door on the website, nothing is listed in the specs, nothing on box indicated that needed to have an extension, ready to install and NOT GOING TO WORK! Agree with others. The fact that a second trip to find the extension. I paid for a lifetime warranty belt and get to buy a new belt that will fit 8 foot door, not likely lifetime due to the fact that is now for 8 foot, but already assembled and out of the box ready to put up, so am I going to take it back, not likely. 95% of the doors in the US are 8 foot or taller. Please make all door openers 8 feet long out of the box. This is absurd. I thought I was spending a certain amount, had everything and then to find out have to spend more and make more trips, can't get the job done, VERY FRUSTRATING.
