Sensor did not last a day before replacement sensor was broken. Wiggle the wire in the base and light flashes on and off. Only way to fix is replace.
What a pain. My original sensors worked for 23 years. These replacements worked for a few months. I certainly hope Chamberlain will send me a replacement , although it appears the replacement will also only last a short time?
1) Identify the sending vs. the receiving unit (green or yellow). 2) What if still not working? 3) Is one light supposed to stay lit (sending unit) and one unit only lights up when activated? 4) I've been fooling around with a sensor that got bumped. Ordered new wire and sensors and can't get it working. Design and user interface FAIL! Now will cost hundreds to have someone come out. ADD this price to the actual cost when purchasing! No reason stuff shouldn't be made to easily work on yourself in this day and age, especially a garage door opener.
cheap plastic junk. This is the second time I have had to replace the sensors since April 2019.
These are very cheap and fail quick. I now have the new safety sensors taped on my ceiling in hopes I can keep them completely dry and away from anything that may cause these delicate pieces to not fail. They must design these to fail to assure continued sales every few months to replace the sensors. I will stick with another major brand. Never had safety sensors fail like they do on a Chamberlain. Despite being a few months old, Chamberlain made no offer to replace the failed sensors after reaching out to them. Told me my wires were bad.
