My husband got this for me for christmas. I was excited because the Char-Broil I had for almost 10 years is at the end of its life. I used the recommended amout of briquettes and wood and the pain on it peeled all over. It wasn't over 250 degrees and it would not maintain heat in the main chamber but the pait still peeled. I am extremely disappointed with the quality of this as my last one was such good quality and lasted me a long time.
The paint boiled on the top of the smoker door and has started chipping off completely. Also, there are so many leaks that it's almost impossible to keep a temperature. Wish I could return this grill/ smoker
Easy to assemble, perfect size.
I bought this cooked on it 3 times never exceeding their 30 coals limit plus woods chips. The first time the paint peeled all over the smoker box and I chimney my coals before adding them to the box. It just keeps peeling never been over 300 degrees. Even the main grill side is peeling from indirect heat. Owned another chairbroil for 2 years had it over 500 degrees at times no issues. This is a defect and totally bummed my new grill looks terrible.
I love smoking meat. The portion you put the wood chips in deteriorated within 20 uses. The material is rather thin for the heat im assuming so i used my welding skills and built my owm with a thicker guage steel. No problems since. Wouldnt recommend this to a hard core smoker enthusiast
