Clairol Nice 'n Easy Frost & Tip Original Hair Highlighting Kit

My fiance accidentally bought me this kit rather than my usual Revlon highlight kit which I've used for 10+ years. During the pandemic, I wasn't able to go to the store to return and swap it so I figured "meh, must be about the same thing." Nope. Very frustrated by the damage it caused to my hair, the terrible yellow color it produced. I have dirty blonde- light brown hair, and frequently get told at salons that my hair takes color very easily. I left this color on seemingly forever (50ish minutes) and could only get it to lift to a bad yellow. I also tried adding a little heat from the blow dryer to help it lift, but no such luck. The cap and hook are also harder to use than other similar products I've tried. I will never use this again and make sure to always check that I get Revlon Color Effects Frost Glow in the future. (Promise I don't work for Revlon or have any dog in the fight other than a dislike of my new yellow cheap locks.)

My natural color is dark blond, I used this kit for highlighting and it gave me a very good result. I hold it my hair for 30 minutes to have the yellow shade not the orange nor the white. It is pretty good and easy to use

I was a little afraid to try this product but am glad I did. My hair looks better than expected. I did not frost as much as I could have but now that I know, will surely try again. One thing, though, I purchased a small metal crochet hook to pull a small amount of hair through the tiny holes and that worked perfectly. I recommend this product.

The product was strong enough to go from med brown to light blond in the test- max time 45 to 50 minutes. But when it came time to use the cap system it was a pain and the results blotchy. it was frustrating to pull the hairs out not to mention painful. Lucky for me I have thin hair. I can imagine those of you with thicker hair. Ouch! i'd give the product a 4 for the consistency of the developer but the results and the process ...I'll never do it again.
