Mega disappointment! This is my 3rd Rectractable clothesline in 12 years. I specifically searched for a different brand and found one which was different in the picture including the handle but what I received was the same clothesline I already had under a different brand name. When I searched again for the different one I could not find it. The first one tangled when a line broke. The second one the retraction mechanism broke years ago and since the lines were exposed to the New Mexico sun the coating flaked off and the lines started to fray.

I bought one of these 30 years ago and used it weekly. The lines never broke, the roll up and lock features functioned perfectly. The only need for a new one was due to the southern heat taking its toll on the plastic where it mounted to the house. (On a very windy day it came down.) The new one was the exact same size, so my husband was able to slip it right on the lag bolts already there. The new line divider feature keeps the lines from tangling on roll-up. Thank-you Sunline, for continuing to " make 'em like they used to".

This is the perfect addition to any home that gets lots of sun like we do in Florida. Perfect for drying all laundry and saving on the power bill by not using the electric clothes dryer.

This is a great item for airing out you bedding and drying heavy rugs etc. Dry your things with nature and save $$. Your clothes also smell fresher than the dryer.

We moved to a new house and was time to buy a new one of these. The last one lasted 20 years. We used it every year. Kind of amazed the spring in it never gave out, although we didn't retract it all that much -- only when we had people over and at the end of the autumn going into winter -- maybe a half dozen to 10 times a year for 20 years Works as advertised. We had to tighten the lines to even them out coming out of the box. Not a big deal. Every few years we would have to tighten the lines to even them out on the old one. They pretty much stay tight for the most part. Just buy it already. You'll like it.
