The Cobra ESD 7100 is an ultra-portable and ultra-fast radar and laser detector. It offers a 360-degree radius and 9 bands of radar detection so you’ll know if a radar beam is hitting your car regardless of the direction it’s coming from. If the ESD 7100 does detect an incoming radar signal it will alert you immediately thank to its extremely sensitive K-band detection. Additionally, this radar detector is immune to VG-2 radar detector-detectors which makes it functionally invisible while still letting you know when someone in the area is using one. This device offers a bright, easy-to-read display that identifies the type of radar detected using symbols. There are also unique audible tones that identify the type of radar being detected so you you’ll get specific information even if you can’t see the detector’s display. When driving in the city, devices like automatic garage door openers can register a false positive on radar detectors, but the Cobra ESD 7100’s “City” setting helps eliminate these false positives. Extremely Portable The ESD 7100 mounts to your vehicle’s window using a suction bracket. This means it’s easy to move to a new vehicle. Just unstick the suction mount, stick it to the window of the new car and you’re ready to go. The suction mount also means it’s easy to remove and hide the radar detector while you’re away from your car so potential thieves won’t even know it’s there. 360 Degree Nine-Band Protection The ESD 7100 can detect X, K and Ka radar bands, lasers, VG-2 signals and detector-detector signals. It also features a 360 degree detection radius so you’ll know if you’re getting clocked regardless of which direction the beam is coming from. This radar and laser detector also alerts you to the signal strength of X, K and KA band signals so you have an idea of how close you are to the source of the signal. As an added bonus, the ESD 7100 is immune to VG-2 and radar detector-detector signals, so you won’t be seen but you’ll still know if someone is using a detector-detector device in the area. Audio and Visual Alerts This radar and laser detector features an easy to read display that alerts you to the type of band being detected using unique identification icons. The display is extra bright but there still may be circumstances that prevent you from seeing it. In these cases, you’ll still know what type of signal is being detected thanks to unique audio tones that identify the specific incoming band. These tones repeat as long as the signal is detected, and, in the case of X, K, and Ka radar signals, the tone will increase in frequency as you get closer to the signal’s source.
