That bs is garbage a waste of money and time

It's not horrible for the price, but cheap radar detectors are really just not worth it. This was my first radar detector that I picked up at Walmart without doing too much research. It does its job - alerts when it picks up radar - but unfortunately the filtering is just not good enough to deal with the absolute MESS that is K-Band in populated areas. This thing can't filter out blind spot monitors, traffic sensors, you name it... it's so unbearable you just want to unplug the darn thing until you get out of the city. It also does not have good enough range to protect you against instant on (I/O) radar. It will alert you with enough time to slow down for a constant on source though. All in all I'd say this is acceptable for the price but if you really like to drive fast, spend the extra $100 on a refurbished Uniden DFR7, which gives you great range, K filtering, and GPS false alert lockouts. If you think about it, after one save from a speeding ticket the thing will more than pay for itself. These cheap cobras just aren't worth the trouble, and not trustworthy enough to give you any confidence.

does not work LED do not light up DO NOT WAIST YOUR TIME BUIYING THIS THE SECOND REPLACEMENT HAD THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM THE LED DO NOT WORK EXCEPT IN A PITCH BLACK SITUATION ( I drive to work at before 5 am) and can barely see the LED, also continuous false alarms even in city mode

Well 1st day passed a cop by my kids school standing outside of his car with his radar gun and the radar detector did nothing. I even asked the cop if it was on lol. I wasn't speeding he's there everyday watching the school zone. So yeah I can NOT recommend this radar detector only thing it picks up is cars with the blind spot radar on the news cars.
