Colgate Total Advanced Fresh Whitening Gel Toothpaste, 4 oz

I have used the old Total advanced fresh and whitening flavor for years and loved it. Whatever was done to this new version, the flavor is terrible. I liked the lasting pizzazz that my mouth felt with the old flavor. This SF version is no longer "advanced fresh" and has a terrible after taste. Also, the ADA approval is gone. Why do companies feel that have to mess with a great product? Just make a new one and have the two versions compete and see which version wins. My guess would be the old version would win!

I have used this flavor for years. It was my favorite! Imagine my surprise when I bought another tube (that looked slightly different) only to find out the flavor had changed! Do the people that work at Colgate even test the products? This flavor has my mouth feeling like it has a sour taste in it. I almost couldn't use it because it made me gag. I will be going to the store directly after work and switching brands.

Been using it until this awful taste shows up! They aren't intelligent enough to put those words "new flavor" on the outside of the wrapper or box. It shows up on the tube only and if you miss that because you never read the words after having used their product for many years then as soon as you start brushing you get this awful taste that makes you stop and look! I threw the tube out, had a 4 pack on our shelf looked at it carefully, opened the wrapping still not seeing the words "NEW FLAVOR" but when I removed the tube from the box I saw it on the tube. That 4 pack is going back to the store where it was purchased and we are finished with Colgate!

I have used Colgate toothpaste my entire life (50+ years); I even converted my husband from Crest. No more! Just picked up a new tube last week, and the new flavor is absolutely horrible. It's got a nasty chalky taste while you're brushing, and a hideous lingering aftertaste that even coffee can't dispel. This stuff is dreadful. Colgate, you've lost another lifelong customer.

This is literally the first review I have ever left and felt compelled to do so because of my disdain for the new flavor. Another lifelong Colgate Advanced Fresh user that now has to find a new, non-Colgate alternative. New flavor is unusable and has the added 'benefit' of leaving a pasty aftertaste. I never understand why companies change a good thing.
