Columbia Newton Ridge Plus II Waterproof Outdoor Boot | 1718821-278 Beige

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have worn these boots to hike to the peak of Mt. Lassen, and recently used them in Hawaii. Hunting the Big Island near Mauna Loa, mean LOTS of volcanic rock. Not only were these boots incredibly comfortable, but they held up on the lava rock. I didn't have to worry about skipping or rolling my ankle. Not to mention these boots had NO break in time- wore them right out of the box. Lava will tear through any shoe, so this wear is expected after a few days of use. But no complaints, buying another pair now!

Back in February I bought these for use on the job. I'm a farmhand in the southwest, I needed something that could handle water and not get in the way. Nope. The leather upper began to completely separate after already creating huge holes that allowed water in (caused by me crouching. Normal wear and tear.) I'm sure if these live in your closet they'll do you fine, but they couldn't handle thirty hour weeks on a farm.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After trying on several styles and brands of hiking boots I found the perfect fit and style with the Columbia Newton Ridge Plus Waterproof Amped Hiking boots. I wear size 6 in sneakers so I went up a half size to accommodate thicker socks for hiking. I love how comfortable they feel and they provide a bit of arch support which is helpful. The footbed has a nice cushion. I especially love the lower back design of these boots to provide more comfort. They felt so comfortable as soon as I put them on. I have worn them around my neighborhood to break in for my next hike. These are my go to boots for hiking. So glad I found them!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 2nd Pair of Newtown Ridge Hiking Boots — great Boot. Solid, sturdy shoe with the ankle support I need for rocky and varied terrain. But yet there is give to the shoe, that I need as well. The lace buckles help ensure a good fit and of course an added extra being waterproof. A comfortable fit and equally important, serves me well for the different kinds of hiking surfaces we do. I am glad these are still available, as I have worn out my previous and have purchased this again and sure I will do in the future as well.
