Krylon K0500 Crystal Clear Glaze Spray

Not a review, but a question. I make 3D Origami baskets. They are made of folded paper. Lots of colors, I am looking for a product to seal the inside and outside of the baskets to make them water resistant or water proof. I have been researching and know epoxy dries very hard. I want a hard clear surface finish. But epoxy requires mixing and more work. Does this product finish hard? I think I read that is is flexable... I don't want that. Thank you for your response?

I use products like these commercially so I have some pretty good experience with finishes. Not every finish works for every application. You should ALWAYS test a small inconspicuous area first to make sure you get the results you want. Krylon Triple Thick is an amazing product when used properly. We make wood furniture and signage, and I used to spend days coating and recoating wood pieces, and waiting for them to dry in between coats. With Triple Thick I can coat twice in one day, and the next day it's ready to go. I sympathize if you've had bad results and have a ruined project, but with a little care on your part it could've been prevented.

I really like this product. I applied a few coats to my wood project and it turned out beautifully. It's a very glossy finish. Most of it has a very smooth feel, like glass. There are a few rough spots, though; despite how many coats I applied. I'm not sure if it's the product (not applying enough coats to the wood) or if I didn't sand the wood smooth enough. Despite this, I'm still very satisfied with this spray. I will definitely use it again.

I personally jar never used this product before now and found it to be easy to use and had no problems at all with the finish. It added a crystal clear shine as well as gave all my painted surfaces an incredible look of depth. I will use this product for every project I have.
