I've been looking for this type hairdryer for years. (Needed one as a back up for a similar type made by Gillette, which I've been using for many years. The Conair "Pancake" hair dryer, 1800 watt, works great and does a fantastic job on my curls, just as advertised. I'm very satisfied.

I purchased this product about a month ago and so far so good. I have had good luck with Conair products in the past, so I am hoping this dryer lasts for years. It does a good job of creating curl without frizz. However, be aware that it will increase the amount of time it takes to dry your hair. I have thick, shoulder length hair and it takes 15 minutes to dry now. But getting up 10 minutes earlier in the morning is worth the volume of curls and frizz free hair. My only compliant is the filter inside the dryer. There is no easy way to get to it, so I feel the dryer could overheat and die. In addition, I did find this dryer for half price at a discount shop and few days after I purchased it at Wal Mart.

I have curly hair so I mainly use this for the diffuser that comes with it and it works like a charm. I think it's great for curly hair. I haven't tried it for just drying my hair without the diffuser and I don't think I ever will so as a diffuser it's great.

The diffuser is very hard and not flexible. Other diffuser's I've had were softer and more flexible. This one does not move at all and is very uncomfortable on my head and I think it decreases the curls because it pulls on them rather than moving with them. Would not recommend. Pay a little more and get a better diffuser.

It is about time they make a hair dryer for curly hair. I really like this hair dryer, very easy to use, better air flow than putting a diffuser on a normal dryer. The only downside is the quality might not be that great. I already had one of these dryers burn out on me, it lost the ability to heat. So I am on dryer number 2. But I am definitely pretty hard on my dryers, so it might be fine for most people.
