I've only had these tires for roughly a year and driven between 15K to 20K miles or so. I must say, I'm quite impressed with the overall performance of these tires. At this point they're almost bald but that is mainly my fault, everyday I drive the car hard to continue exceeding my driving pleasure. When brand new Dry and Wet traction is flawless, at it's current state I just started slipping a bit under throttle on tight turns @ 40MPH. These tires are monstrous and with the sort of wear they have are still holding up to my abuse. Granted if I have driven softer from the beginning they would probably get to the 30K warranty life span, but come on, Max performance summer tires and you're not going to go all out on them? I'd recommend these tires to anyone willing to push their car's to the limit... recommended you do a lot of suspension work to help them perform as intended. They can be uses for back trails and autoX they can certain to those events with ease, no doubt. I know I put that I would recommend but only for spirited drivers with the knowledge that these tires will not last, these are just for fun and to assure maximum traction until their "death" other than that loook into A/S for longevity .
I had these tires on my C4 Corvette and when I got a 2000 Boxster with Michelin Sport tires it was so loud my earsrwc rang after an hour driving so I put the Extreme Contact Continentals on and the noise level difference was obvious. I enjoy the Boxster much more now.
Got a set of these for my VW GTI in early 17, did a track day which caused a lot of wear ( not sure I would recommend for the track ) but the tires did well, no squealing or loss of traction. Being new, they struggled with the height of the tread blocks. Have run the balance of 2017 putting on about 20K miles more and they are evenly worn but two are done. Very good summer tire, stick well in aggressive driving situations.
Where I live in Ca there's no snow but periodic rain in winter. The little Z3 is always a little tail happy but had real problems in the rain. These Conti's transformed the severe wet weather performance to almost summer level of tracking. A huge improvement.
Removed the o.e. runflat tires from our '15 MINI Roadster S to seek better performance and less punishing ride. The Conti Extreme Contact DW is a good match. While you do give up some immediate turning responsiveness in favor of more acceptable ride, this tire is also a great performer in wet (as well as dry) driving conditions. As a bonus, it is very competively priced in its high performance summer tire category. I would buy it again..or should I say..buy it's successor .
