Cosco Scenera Ajra

This is a great car seat. My child is really long (he is off the charts in height) so by 6 months he had pretty much outgrown his infant seat. So my husband I started the search for a seat that would work for him both rear and front facing positions. We found this one and bought it. My son seemed to like it just fine (he fell asleep in it few times) but the real clincher for me was two months after we bought it a lady blew a stop sign and totaled our van. My son did not even make a peep, he did not even know we had been in a wreck! The car seat did its job and kept my baby safe!

I bought this as a secondary! My husband and I are Flight Attendants so we travel a lot for pleasure with our son. So I always travel with a car seat on the airplane and our main car seat is to heavy, bulky and unpractical for the plane so we bought this one to travel with. I LOVED IT!!! It's lightweight, fits perfectly thru the aisle of a 737-800 with luggage wheels (I strap it to luggage wheels and put the child in it so I don't have to use a stroller thru the airport) and it fits perfectly in the seat without it sticking out. Plus you can't beat the price!!!

I saw this car seat reviewed on Consumer Reports and it was the only one on the "recommended" list that was reasonably affordable. Then I found it on Walmart.com for a way better deal than I was expecting! Plus I was able to get two for a package deal discount! So far it has been easier to set up than my previous carseats and has been great for my 1 year old daughter. I am very happy with it and with the deal I got on it.

When I was pregnant I went to a safety class that said this was the safest car seat on the market. All others don't have a warranty nearly as long as this one (which is saying something!) and the ones that you lock in the infant carrier and then take it out are the worst because they are only safe up to 20 miles per hour. WHO DRIVES ONLY 20 MPH? People buy the pretty and cute and comfortable car seats and that is why the prices are so expensive. Your car seat doesn't have to be pretty. It has to be safe and this one has been tested and is the safest. It's conveniently the cheapest. I took my baby home from the hospital in it. It's not east to set up and a pain to switch from car to car (namely because of the strap you have to find a place to secure). Just make sure you secure it right. But it's worth it. I just got in a car crash and NOTHING happened to my baby. No bruises or seat belt burns. He was acting completely normal after getting over being scared. So now I know first hand.

We chose to buy this product to use once in a while in my husband's car. My daughter is used to riding in a Britax Marathon, and she much prefers that one. In particular, the straps on this one have no padding and seem to irritate her arms. There is minimal padding in the seat. We wish we would have spent a little more, even if it's only an occasional ride, as she seems miserable (and thus makes us miserable!) when riding in it!
