Cosco - Scenera Convertible Car Seat, Re

My boy is still riding backwards so I was afraid that buying this seat wouldn't lean back enough where he could fall asleep without his head snapping back and forth but when I got it it leaned back just enough and was surprised that it was big. My wife bought the same brand just different model that looked the same and it was smaller and doesn't lean back enough. So I am very happy with this seat, has the looks plus the comfort for a great price.

The cover is sturdy yet highly attractive. ITs a good quality material and wipes off well. Make sure the buckle on the bottom is in the correct position however, or it will hurt little ones wee legs. The belts are tight and the Latch works well. Its not as complicated as our expensive seat but we actually like this better than our expensive one. ITs now our main seat. I recommend it to anyone looking to buy a great seat for the price. Don't let the Cosco brand put you off thinking its cheap or whatnot because its really nice!! I wish I had bought a bunch of these to begin with!! We just bought two this time instead of a more expensive seat and they work wonderful in mine and my husbands vehicles. No changing out the seat every time. GREAT BUY!

Horrible design. There was no possible way to install it safely in my 2006 Chevy Cobalt. The base is flimsy with a huge gap, causing the entire seat to wobble and slide all over the place in rear-facing position. This seat should never be used as a rear-facing seat. We returned it immediately and bought the Eddie Bauer XRS.

As others have noted, don't waste time doing the research (others have done it for you)- this IS your travel car-seat. Lightweight- easy no fuss installation in cars and airplane seat. 2.5 yr old daughter slept thru plane ride- so must be comfortable enough without all the bells and whistles. And when we get back from our trip- perfect for the 2nd car (used only for short rides to babysitter- pickups and dropoffs).

My wife and I registered for the Graco Nautilus car seat for our baby shower and got it, but found what a pain it is to remove and re-install the car seat in our 2 cars. We bought the Cosco Scenera in realtree pink for our second car so we wouldn't have to move the car seats any more. THE PROS: + It is available in many color schemes. (We chose pink camouflage) + It includes a detachable cup holder. + Once properly installed, it doesn't move at all. + The cover removes easily for cleaning. + The price was very reasonable, especially for a nationally known brand. THE CONS: -Takes a LOT of space in your car. It sits permanently in our Chevy Equinox back seat because it took up too much space in our sedan. This is because of the angle it has to recline for rear-facing capabilities, and simply wouldn't fit in our 08 Kia optima. -Also, The construction of this car seat seems really light and not as durable as the Graco Nautilus.
