I t is cheap plastic and feels cheap but it is what I expected for the price! We really just needed this car seat as an extra and light weight one to take in and out of the car from week to week! It is slim compared to most car seat and you def fit three if these (snugly) in a compact car!

I ordered and picked up in-store. Service was bare bones -- waited a while before anyone responded at the counter. The box was also half-opened (on both ends) and damaged from bumping. Regarding the seat itself ... This carseat is affordable, lightweight, and attractive, but difficult to use for various reasons. - The manual lacks sufficient tips for installing safely in rear-facing mode. - In rear-racing mode ... Due to the required incline, the bottom of the carseat may partially float above the vehicle seat cushion. - Latch hooks are hard to remove, especially if latches are embedded deeply between seat cushions. - Harness does not loosen easily, even while fully depressing the release. Tips - Research the carseat to see if it is a good fit for your vehicle and any existing carseats in the same row. - If you don't have latch ... Read the manual on-line to be sure that the carseat is compatible with your vehicle's belts. - In rear-facing mode ... push down and from behind while tightening the latch strap. Check the level indicator as you go. - Check that all straps (in front, behind and below) are straight and flat. Any twisting makes it impossible to tighten the harness and latch strap. - When removing latch hooks ... hold open, push in, twist, and pull out. - Have a certified carseat technician check for correct installation!

We bought this Cosco Scenera for my 26 month old son to sit in on a recent flight. We have 2 really expensive seats in our cars but needed something narrow and lightweight for the plane and you can't beat $39.99. This seat is lightweight which is great for lugging through the airport and it is narrower than most car seats so it fit great in the airplane seat. We could have never kept our Son seated for take off, landing and turbulence if it weren't for this seat. FYI- FAA rules say you child should be in a carseat until they are 40lbs. It was easy to travel with. I only gave it 4 stars because when you secure the seat with the airplane seatbelt the buckle ends up being right behind your child's back with only the flimsy car seat cover between them. I hear that is a problem for a lot of car seats but when in the car it's a non-issue. If you are looking for something cheap for travel this is the seat.

I'm the proud mother of a 2 year old very active little boy. Of course, everyone wants the best for their children. I've purchased other expensive car seats and I must say this one definitely beats the competition, not only in price but durability, and is easily installed. I suffer from chronic back pain this seat is lightweight and easy to transfer. My son loves his "new chair". I drive a 2013 Camaro, the seat fits perfectly and my son is able to sit up and enjoy the view. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to buy a good seat at a great price!

I was reading up on the reviews after I ordered and started getting worried. Everyone talked about the seat not reclining. Let me clear this up: if you don't flip the back leg up, it doesn't recline. It sits straight up. However, if you DO flip it up, the seat reclines almost as much as the infant carrier seat that I started my son in. We bought this seat because it's convertible and for the color. I got exactly what i wanted. The padding may be a little lacking over time, but seems good enough now. I haven't had a chance to use this for my son (waiting until he's too heavy for me to easily use the infant carrier seat I have) but I do not have any worries about it. Everything seems to be wonderful about it.
