Costway Lift Top Table w/ Hidden Compartment and Storage Shelves Coffee - Coffee

I got this coffee table to save space in my townhouse. It works great! The top when pulled up is fairly stable and my 2 cats are on it while up all the time (they weigh about 10lbs each). It's easy to get up and down, but works better if lifted on both ends at the same time or in the middle. Putting it together with an additional person took about 2 hours and instructions were easy to follow.

I was reluctant purchasing because of the low price. Well I was right. Mediocre quality at best. Rather than using it as a coffee table we’re using it to store books in our spare bedroom. I would return it but too much hassle to disassemble. Assembly wasn’t too bad until it came to mounting the top. Very difficult to get the screws in.

Order came earlier than was expected. I was out of town and it Raines the weekend it arrived. Luckily I called a neighbor and they got it out of the weather. There were some scratches and scuff marks on a couple pieces but mostly it looks good. Wasn't worth the hassle of returning and requesting another.

I thought that reviews saying it was heavy and hard to put together meant the quality would be good. Silly me. I hired someone to pit it together and it took him a little over 2 hours and he had the lid on backwards at first. It's covered in laminate and will scratch easily. Any moisture and it will be destroyed. And the surface gets fingerprint stains very easily. I love the idea of it but it's not worth the $167 I paid at all.

Not going to lie, this was exactly what I needed! I love that it comes up, and is extra storage. It was a little tricky when it came to assembly, mostly because following the directions made assembling and screwing the top a little tricky. But overall I am very happy with it!
