Cra-Z-Art Shimmer ‘n Sparkle: Gemex Gel Creations Studio DIY Jewelry Kit, Kids Ages 8+

Looked pretty on box but ended up being very messy project and on top of it upon finishing it we found out that the light shell that was supposed to harden our creations was broken and we couldn't get it to work, therefore the whole project ended up being useless and in the trash. Who has a spare black light laying around? Not us.... Kids were disappointed to say the least.

My kids love this shimmer and sparkle play set. The seashell is very pretty and the stars light up in different colors. It's a sturdy play set that will last a while. My kids loved making all kinds of shimmering toys out of gel. The only downside is that it's quite messy by the time we molded our gems with all kinds of sparkles. Nevertheless it's worth it. Recommend this play set.

My nieces love creating things whatever it may be. It makes them feel they are doing something good for themselves. They have made & created bracelets using string & yarn & they looked so cool. They made a lot for family. So they loved when i brought them this gems gel set to make different kinds of jewelry & gems. Of course they love that there is sparkle & glitter! I even joined in the fun & it was lot of fun! The gel dries quickly. Real easy to do. Just put the gel & glitter on the the charms & then into the shell playset & your done in few mins & see your creation! They love the jewelry & gems, that come in the playset. They look so cool & so pretty. So if u have kids or nieces & they love creating jewelry or just making stuff, then they would love this, especially if they love glitter & sparkle!

It was a lot of fun making this jewelry with my daughter! She's 7, so she needed a little guidance in making them but it was pretty easy. It's just like gel nail polish which I'm very familiar with, so it made it the steps real simple. The charms came out crazy cute and we loved that we could personalize it with any colors we wanted.

Cra-Z-Art's Shimmer 'n' Sparkle Gemex kit was an absolute blast to play with. I intended it to be for my 5 year old daughter, but I'm not going to lie, I had just as much fun making these as she did. I didn't think this was going to be so simple and easy, but once we got started we made some amazing creations. The gel was in an easy squeeze bottle that made pouring it into the mold smooth and fast. My daughter had a blast mixing all the different glitter colors to make them shine. There were so many cute and different designs to choose from that my daughter is planning on making Christmas presents for her family. I will need to buy more gel for this and searched for the refills. I found that they are a little pricey but so worth the beautiful experience she gets to share with others.
