This additive saved me thousands of dollars and amazed me. I bought a used car but shortly after the check engine light came on. I had the gas cap and some seals replaced but the light kept coming on --- and I got some codes for air leaks and my converter. So, I could not pass emissions and get my plate. I went to one final repair shop and they wanted to replace my converters and fix the leaks for $3000. They wouldn't even let me do part of the work; they said I had to have it all done. I balked at that and after researching, tried this GTP product. I bought 2 bottles. . At first, I thought it was not working because my trouble codes and engine light came back on! But I reset them with my OBD2 monitor and kept using up the GTP. After the full tank of gas was used, I noticed that my lights and trouble codes were not coming on anymore. Actually, I was ignoring the situation and drove for a month and realized ... no more engine light problems. So, this weekend, I decided to see if my car was ready for emissions. I passed! My mind is blown. Thank God!
Okay I bought this stuff when I suspect i had a clogged catalytic converter or had bad gas in my car. Normally I dismiss this stuff as snake oil but heard about this from a friend who swore it works. If you follow the directions this stuff actually works and will get you through the annual inspection. That being said it doesn't actually fix the issue so the emissions light will likely come back on a couple days later. If you don't have the money to get the emissions problem fixed this will at least get to through inspection until you get the money to get it fix. To be frank I still have no clue how it ever works because I figured most chemicals would already be burned out before getting to emissions but apparently I'm wrong. The only
Does what is advertised but if you need a catalytic converter, you will still need one. Buys you time though. I didnt use the high octane gas either. While I ran the second tank of gas, reading was clear but only for 50 miles or so. Can keep clearing it out, on obd reader, but only for that second tank. Like i said, buy's you some time.
I used this TODAY after filling up my truck. I put it in while at the gas station. As soon as I started my truck to drive off, the check engine light was GONE! I then drove straight to an emissions spot and it passed. My truck is a 2013 Infiniti, and the diagnostic code had come back saying it was 1 of my catalytic converters.
Works well for my 2004 Toyota Sienna with over 200K on it. After putting in tank you must drive around normally both highway and city until tank is empty then you can reset your code. Then wait a week or so before taking to emissions inspection. I also put in a high grade gas along with this stuff and that seems to work.
