Nice shape, multiple functions
Have just returned the rice cooker to store for a refund. It is a good looking rice cooker. However, it was not user friendly for cooking even simple white rice. A few problem areas that I experienced: 1. It produced a puddle of rice water on it's cover top, through the opening. Tried quick cook as well as normal cook with 1 cup of rice and fill water to the 1 cup mark. Watched rice water came out from the cover top opening, strange sight. 2. The water level markings basically indistinguishable, black marking against black color inner bowl. I used a flash light to read the water mark when adding water, to make sure I did not added to much. Still, there were puddle of rice water on the cover every time. 3. The cover open button needed a lot of push to get the cover open. The spring force was quite strong when opening the cover, the whole rice cooker jumped. Had to hold on to the rice cooker when pressing the button. 4. Control/Setting switches were difficult to activate. Had to touched/pressed multiple times to turn on or off. Overall, difficult rice cooker to be used for cooking just simple white rice. Did not try other cooking functions, no time to waste.
Do not buy from this Rice Cooker from Cuckoo. Rice cooker died after sparingly using it. It will no longer turn on and I requested for correspondence and Cuckoo did not respond after Walmart tried to notify them of the defective rice cooker. Unacceptable customer service from Cuckoo.
Looks great and also works perfectly. The size is ideal for small families. Cook time is reasonable and I use the timer function a lot. It allows you to chose 3 different texture and taste options for white rice, which is great.
