Cuisinart Electric Stainless Steel Knife

I owned an electric knife years ago and somehow in a move it was lost. I ordered the Cuisinart Electric Knife based on my long history with Cuisinart products. This knife is head and shoulders above my old one. I have only used it 3 times so far but with perfect results each time. Cubing and slicing bread, carving a turkey or a prime rib are child's play for this knife. If you are on the fence, get off it and purchase this knife. In my experience, if it wasn't great, it wouldn't have the name Cuisinart on it.

Purchased a CEK40 Electric Knife approx. 3 years ago. Used sparingly, Easter, Christmas, etc. After 3 years of limited use, it quit running (right before I completed cutting our Easter Ham). Very disappointed. Read reviews, CEK 40 reviews positive. Frustrating, but, I purchased my 2nd CEK 40.

I got this electric knife for a Christmas gift. I use it to cut the meats I smoke. The unit is great for easily cutting the meats to portion size or cutting pork ribs. I also have used it to cut whole pineapple. It easy to use and set up. There is no need to force the knife through the meats as the moving action does all the work. Clean up is quick and easy and the wood display holder looks good on my counter top and keeps everything together in one spot. I think anyone who has this will be glad to have it for all different types of use.

We have had problems over the years with people either using the inexpensive (read cheap) electric knives in our kitchen or not being able to handle them. The control and excellent efficiency of this knife made some of our after Thanksgiving get togethers much better because there was no one saying bad things about the knife they were using.

This knife does the job very well. Some reviews said the knife overheated, however, in using it to cut hot ham & turkey the transfer of heat is normal. I really like the ease of inserting and removing the blades from the handle. The storage rack is a great asset to keep everything in place either on the counter or in a drawer.
