Great for the kids too. 5 kids and their friends, we were always out of ice. Now my drinks are cold. Fast ice, quiet, does not take up much space, easy to clean.

I bought one of these portable ice makers about 5-6 years ago when we lived in Arizona and we used it all the time...my husband uses ice all day long, we took it with us on our camping trips and we never had a problem with it.

We use it about every 3 days and make lots and lots of ice...only problem is that it doesn't hold the ice ...should have a freezer type storage space just big enough for a days ice...other wise we have to be here to keep emptying it and putting it in the freezer..other wise it is great!!

We purchased the product with the belief that it has a storage capacity of 3 lbs, which is listed on the description. This is not true. The ice melts immediately. Also the ice never made it into the storage basket and kept jamming up in the machine. I really wanted this to be a good product we had the intentions of purchasing many more.

Love the ice "cubes" themselves; shaped like bullets! Ice makes quickly, in all 3 sizes. The machine is fairly large, but fits on the counter with ease, and looks nice. The unit is not a freezer, so the ice does melt after several hours, if not used. I bought this machine for my school clinic, but I would buy another one for home, to have for vacations and special events. EASY to drain when necessary. I did not rate on durability, because I've only had this machine for 3 weeks, though I have used it all day, everyday!
