The HK-1 (H-4), commonly known as Spruce Goose or Hercules, was manufactured by Hughes Aircraft. The Spruce Goose is a prototype cargo-type flying boat aircraft; and is the largest flying boat ever built. It also has the largest wingspan and height of any aircraft in history. The Spruce Goose had its first and only flight for just over a mile in November 1947, the project never advanced beyond the single example produced. This handcrafted model is painstakingly built from Philippine mahogany by our skilled craftsmen with a wealth of detail and makes a great gift for any veteran, aviation enthusiast or history buff.
