Defender Sentinel Wireless 4 Ch 500gb D

I bought this in Dec 2015 for Christmas for my husband whom isn't not tech savvy. He was able to connect all 4 cameras to the DVR with no problems. The term wireless is correct from the cameras to the DVR but the cameras themselves needed to be placed where there was a power outlet or one that is close by. Great I would purchase this product again!

I bought this to keep an eye on the house while we are away, it was easy to setup and install. I had a little trouble getting it on the network, but with the help of Michel, it took no time to be up and running. Now I can view the cameras from anywhere!!!

This is the second unit I have purchased. The first installation was a bit difficult and the instructions were not as clear as they could've been. However, I was able to set up the second four camera system in less than an hour and everything worked.

Just bought this weekend and started to install. After hooking cameras up and using the HDMI cable provided I couldn't get a picture. My tv said it couldn't read the mode. I couldn't find anything on the cd provided or on defender's website about this. Finally found on a competitor's site that said the resolution setting on the dvr was set wrong for tv. So back to Walmart I go to get a VGA cord to hook up my pc monitor. It worked. Hopefully a tech will call Monday to walk me through hooking up my big screen tv as a monitor. On a plus note. The picture from all camera's look great on pc monitor. Very easy to install if hooking to pc monitor. Oh and my instruction cd was for a wired system not for wireless.

Just purchased this system, it is literally plug and play to get the system operational, very nice diagrams for all the wiring and connectivity, system is not HD but plenty good for what i need for home security. Setting up the networking for DNS, remote viewing and smart phone app is not something anyone can do. I have an IT background, so no big deal, but you might need a tech savy friend to help with this. I had some questions for Defender, their Chat line was awesome.
