Well designed except for the arms that are highly leveraged to their attachment bolts. I expect to have issues with the arms in the near future though they are AOK right now. Nice oil finish and attractive wood/grain. The very limited metal appears rust resistant and consistent with coastal living. Easy assembly. Heavy and large "footprint" makes for a stable lounge with challenges moving at right angles for storage in compact areas. Overall, I would conclude there are trade offs that on balance make the choice a good purchase. I will feel better if I have issues with a $99 purchase rather than have issues with a $390 purchase of a similar item at one of several upscale stores.

This chaise lounge has the features and workmanship of luxury outdoor furniture without the $800. price tag. They have the look of fine teak. Arrived with a generous coat of teak oil already applied. Wipe before use to avoid oil stains on you clothing. Site to store was convenient and saved $200. or more in shipping charges. This chaise is oversized. My husband is 6'5" and weighs 250lbs. and he finds these quite comfortable and sturdy. Very easy to manuever around our deck. We purchased the Delahey lounge cushions that fit them perfectly and look great. We also purchased two lounge covers and discovered that these loungers can be stacked for storage and covered together by one cover. These lounge chairs are similar in every way to those found at luxury resorts and spas. These came very securely packaged with all parts included and in perfect condition. If you are looking for a lounge chair that will last for years, this is it. We purchased: 2 lounge chairs at $99. each, 2 covers at $16. each and 4 cushions at $25 each (2 for later on. WHAT A BARGAIN!!!! These would have been a bargain at three times that price. We have received so many compliments already on them. We like nice things that will last and are prepared to pay for the quality. This time we didn't have to.

I am very happy with the Delahey Sun Lounger. I searched quite a bit and couldn't find a lounge chair that had flat-to-inclined back and seat, adjustable arms, and a slide-out table for anywhere near this price. It's large and comfortable. There are also brass pins on chains that can be inserted to hold the arms in the upright position if you're worried about them sliding down. The finish seems fine for outdoor furniture; I'm sure it will need to be oiled well each season and preferably stored out of the elements (it is wood, after all). The chair is very easy to assemble. Only the arms and legs need to be attached with simple bolts. The instructions are simple and clear. Once unpacked, assembly should take less than 15 minutes. The only downside is that the packing is very flimsy, but I was lucky and the chairs were undamaged. (There is actually nothing protecting the product but an extremely low quality cardboard box, very thin material between the pieces to keep them from scratching each other, and the parts are all securely tied together to prevent shifting. Remarkable that there was no impact damage during shipping.) I'm delighted with these chairs!

After putting the chaise (2) together I sat on the edge to slide onto the chair the legs cracked where they are screwed into the main part of the chair. I have to return both of them to the store.

This is a very nice chair. We did have to return it, but only because someone during shipment chose to walk on the carton and broke one of the hinge points. I can't fault the chair for this.
