Awesome crib, folds up out of the way nicely. Only critic is that the mattress could be just a tad thicker, I bought a thicker one from delta children on Amazon that works great.
The bed doesn't have levels to make sure your child is at the appropriate height, it has one level and when my son stands up he's looking well over the crib so if he leaned forward he would definitely be able to fall out. His old mini crib has 3 levels and he wasn't near the height to fall out. But I loved the color and how easy it is for travel so I tried it.
What a creative solution to have a mini-crib that doesn't take up alot of space! Looks good overall, and it's easy to fold and port. I almost gave this 4 stars because the mattress is plastic but waterproof, loud, and super thin but the crib comes complete with immediate use unless you opt to upgrade the mattress.
The crib was very easy to assemble. I had it done in about 15 minutes. The size is great as an extra crib to fit in our room until she starts sleeping in her own room when she's a little older. However, the mattress that's included is not ideal… it's very thin and very squishy, like a cheap piece of foam. I ordered a different mattress as the one included doesn't seem comfortable or safe.
Crib itself is beautiful: very simple lines and a nice dark chestnut color. The portability of it (actually fits through a doorway unlike a playard) and ability to fold to store is nice. Note: the caster wheels do not lock in place. (I would have thought that would be a good feature for something an infant may be standing in.) The included mattress pad is foam with a plastic cover (to make it waterproof, I suppose), and the stitching for the seams at one end had come out (or wasn't fully stitched to begin with?). The foam inside has a terrible chemical smell that was obvious when the mattress was unwrapped, and so I taped the opening where the seams were undone to contain the smell. The manufacturer said that replacement mattress pads are on back order (with no expected date for availability) and to return the entire product for a refund and then order a second crib. To be quite honest, I don't want to disassemble the whole product (of course I waited to unwrap the mattress pad until I had fully assembled the crib), pack it back up again, and then haul it back to a store or shipping service (I mean, they make mini cribs that are presumably being purchased by pregnant moms or moms of infants, so I can imagine many other buyers would feel as I do), and so I plan to order a mini crib mattress from somebody other than Delta. I am not sure I would choose to purchase this again.
