We've had our touch faucet for 2 years and it was great for the first 18mths, that's when the touch quit working. Batteries have been changed and everything taken apart, put back together and it will work once and then quit.

I purchased the Single Handle Pilar Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet with Touch20 Tech in January, 2013. It was professionally installed. I've had to change the batteries twice including today. Very easy to change the 6 AA batteries. The performance of this faucet has been beyond expectations. I've had no difficulties with the faucet working by touch or manually since the purchase. This morning however, I attempted to use the faucet using both touch and manually, no water! Hmmmm, not good! Batteries? I thought, no. I just changed them about 3-4 months ago. Frozen Pipes? (7 degrees today) No. Other faucets are working. Check shutoffs? Both open. Hmmmm.... So, I called Delta customer service today, which is a Saturday, and spoke with Tina. From the symptoms I described to Tina, she thought the problem could be the solinoid, so would send me a new one right away. Great! Tina then asked me for the model number of the faucet? I of course didn't know it and asked where do I find it? Tina then guided me to the Delta website and I quickly found a picture of my faucet. Perfect! Now, I know the model number of my faucet and more importantly, so does Tina. Yay!! After a few more questions and answers my mind was still thinking, Hmmmm, no water in the kitchen until the new part arrives? Yikes! So I casually asked Tina, if I should try replacing the batteries again? Tina said sure, and further offered to hold onto the line while I checked the batteries. When I removed all six batteries, I discovered the battery pack positive contact point was severely corroded. Why? I have no idea? The previous batteries I installed were brand new. So I removed the corrosion off the contact point, put another set of new batteries back into the battery pack, turned the faucet on, and water flowed!! WOW!! I checked both touch and manual and both worked fine. Why did water stop flowing from the faucet with either a bad battery and/or bad battery pack? No idea! But I'm happy my faucet is working now and can get back to my Saturday errands and honey do list...!!! In the meantime, Tina (whom was still holding on) was thrilled to learn my faucet is working again. She is also sending me a new battery pack! Perfect! PS: No! I don't work for Delta! I'm just a customer like you wanting a company to back their product after the sale and provide good customer service, if a problem pops up...Tina and Delta did just that, for me, today! (Oh, did I mention, on a Saturday?) LOL Have a great day, I know I will now!!!

I really want to keep this faucet, but my husband has always hated it. The one in the bathroom (538T-DST) has a leak that will never stop and eroded away most of the pretty part of the faucet in the first one year. Now the one in the kitchen, this 980T-SSSD-DST Pilar Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet with Touch2O Technology and Soap- Stainless model, spent a few months not turning off when we touched it. Recently it won't let any water through the faucet! I am frantically searching for a post or manual to tell me how to get my kitchen sink back. Help! What has happened? What should I replace my sink with?

Also am having issues with the solenoid control valve. In many cases it will not come on or has a very slow stream. Would really appreciate some input on how to remedy this problem. Have really enjoyed this product until these issues came forth.
